After Dorian - update 3 (Two months and a week later)

Time fly's...

It is over two months since Dorian hit us, and the PTSD is still strong.
But we have some progress.

The boat is finally in Florida (even thou still on the barge waiting for room in the yard).
Two weeks ago we drove down to Florida (Fort Pierce), to see the boat, have it inspected by our surveyors, and remove all our personal items from the boat.

We spent six full days (!!!) removing items. It was not easy as the boat was a mess after they (and I hope one day I will find who) broke into our boat while it was in Treasure Cay Marina (were no security was present to keep the boat safe) and trashed it while removing electronics and other personal item that they liked.

Getting to the boat was not easy too. It required us to climb into a tow boat, from there monkey-climb to the barge, and from there climbing to the boat. It was hot, and also raining from time to time to add to the "fun".

It was hard, and physical labor, but it is done. By Thursday a week ago when our agents where there to do the survey the boat was empty and clean and actually looked almost nice. Remember - it is our home, and we are missing it very much.

Almost forgot to mention we also took all our clothes (that where not stolen or destroyed), bedding's etc to wash (the smell from been is high humidity in a close boat......) - many hours....

This weekend we also got the quote from the yard to fix the boat, and we sent it to the insurance and now, we are waiting their decision.

Also on the good = great news that we have and something I fill i have to do, is to thank SnoMaster.
I mentioned them before, they manufactured the fridge we bought that helped us and saved us before when our boat fridge died.

We brought back the fridge from the boat to Minnesota, and the company send us parts for free to help us get the fridge to work. And guess what - it does. It is an amazing fridge, and even more SnoMaster, and Todd are great help and great customer support company that cares about their customers and their product - again - Thank You!!

Another company that helped us is My Pillow. We contacted them and they helped us, and sent us replacement to the items we bought from them and got destroyed in the hurricane.

In contrast, big contrast, to SnoMaster and My Pillow, we also contacted DJI and asked for their help as our drone (DJI Mavic Pro) was damaged and the response we got from them was - sorry to hear, bye....

Stay tuned

Below are two videos of the walk up and down to the boat we had to do.
