The last couple of months

Time fly...

More than two months have past since my last update, and I am going to update you in a sec. but first let tell you the big news
The boat is in the water!!
It is very exciting day for us. It is one step closer for Hani and I going back to our normal life of cruising.

So lets go back for the last 2 months.

As you recall we came back from Israel straight into the Minnesota winter, staying in our daughter house.
Every 2 - 3 weeks we drove to Florida to check on the work progress answer question and reorganizing the storage unit.

If you recall, we took everything we had from the boat as it arrived in Florida late October, and we basically just dumped everything into the storage unit.
Than we flew to Israel and after coming back we had to go through all the stuff we brought, through away everything that was too damaged to use after the hurricane, organize the boxes as much as possible in a way that we can take them in some order back to the boat, when the boat is ready.
This took us two trips 5 days each.

And things happens. Early March after our third trip back from Florida in about six weeks, I had damaged my back and was unable to stand, slip, lay down, or do much else.
You should imagine the visual of me trying to walk from the car to the bathroom on the way to Minnesota. It was not a pretty sight.
Four weeks later, after a visit to TRIA, three visits to an amazing chiropractic (Living Well Chiropractic, in Plymouth MN) and some medications, I am walking again and all is (almost) normal.
I have to say that I never visited a chiropractic before, and I was totally impressed how the treatment I got put me back together very quickly.
I was basically crawling in to their office on the first visit and a week later I was walking in.

And then came Covid-19.
The impact of this virus on us and the work around the boat is hard. We are "stay at home" and the boat worked has slowed down. Hard to get materials, the mast is delayed, the windows are delayed (will be installed in the next few days) etc.
Even we delayed are travel back to Florida by two weeks. (To the end of April)

Back to today.
The boat is now in the water, but not ready. there is about another 4-6 weeks of work on it.
The mast, windows, electronics, headliners, etc. etc.
We plan to go back to Florida by the end of the month, and we plan to stay in Florida (hopefully on the boat).

Before I finish today's blog, I just would like to say the Eric from Ekor Yachts Services did and is doing an amazing job fixing our boat and putting it back together.  Thank you Eric!!

That is all for now, stay tuned.
